My creative journey started later on in life. During a trip to Nome back in 2015, my mom pulled out some watercolors, and I successfully copied a watercolor painting I had found on Pinterest. And when I say copied…I mean flower for flower, no creative input on my end. Thankfully, after one fluke of success, I was hooked. However, my triumphant start quickly evolved into many wasted sheets of paper and frustration. The paper wasn’t really wasted, but it seemed like it at the time.
My goal for my art is that it will bless you or someone else in some way whether it be by bringing joy to your life or encouraging you to tap into that creative part of yourself that’s been pushed behind the curtain while your busy life takes the stage. But if I’m really honest, and share all the dreams and ambitions swirling around in my head… WHAT IF my art could impact others’ lives in an even bigger way?
Wouldn’t it be crazy if I could help raise money for the causes I believed in, to connect people, or if it could grow in a way to create a flexible and fun way for a few friends to help financially support their families? It’s scary to put your BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) out there, and it’s possible that I might never see all the ideas in my head come to fruition, BUT here’s to trying and giving it your best!
Cheers, and thanks for being here, reading this, and giving me the time to pour a little of my heart out to you.
Your support is what keeps my dream alive!
